The project comprises fast-paced mechanical-style electronic music, exaggerated movements by performers, and interaction with installations.
It explores the multiple predicaments faced by assembly line workers and the subculture that nurtures them. Recognising that this group is unlikely to escape their circumstances, the project proposes the concept of a carnival of doom. The assembly line is reconfigured as a performance stage, employing various sensors for object tracking, colour recognition, distance detection, and obstacle avoidance. Production tools are repurposed as sequencers, enabling workers to naturally generate music through their actions via integrated hardware and software. This demands exceptional focus from performers, who must rapidly repeat exaggerated movements with precision.
