「Spring excursions」
from the elegant artifacts used by ancient literati to walk through muddy puddles on their feet, to the high ladders used to ascend to fairyland, clogs have always been the embodiment of elegance in the outdoor activities of ancient China. The clogs worn by the characters in the famous Song Dynasty painting "Farewell to the Banks,
「Experiment of the millennium」
A thousand years later, fate meets by chance on a different lawn - soccer shoes with insoles appear. Can the temporal and spatial intersection between these two phenomena be a catalyst for the expression of ultra-modernity, connecting the past with the present as we complete the work?

Handmade Challenge
We asked a veteran craftsman with 25 years of woodworking experience to mass produce clogs for us. It was quite a challenge for him to realize this idea. Not only did he have to make sure that the surface of each pair of clogs was consistently smooth and even, but he also had to take into account factors such as adequate load-bearing capacity, flexibility, near-extreme thinness, and a lacquer finish that perfectly showed off the wood grain.

Wonderful details
To enhance the handcrafted texture of the upper, we've used subtle, soft tumbled cowhide leather and a lining made from skin-friendly suede. Combined with double stitching and waxed laces, the upper exudes a sophisticated casual feel.

Sophisticated layering
In order to enrich the layering of surfaces, we used three same-colored leathers with different textures and softness at the toe, vamp and tongue, allowing the user to maximize the vibrancy of the nuances.

The beauty of lacquerware
The texture on the packaging abstracts the patterns of Han Dynasty lacquerware, realizing a modern and stylish expression of traditional elegance through contemporary geometric shapes.
